Faculty Course Center
Important
Information and features vary according to the roles to which you belong and the permissions associated with those roles. For more information, contact your module manager or your campus support team.
The Faculty Course Center feature main screen displays course loads for selected terms and divisions for the faculty member logged in as the user.
The course load list consists of a detailed schedule of the courses with which you are associated for the default term and division, but you can view course loads for other terms and divisions.
You can initiate a new search by selecting a Term and Division and clicking the Search button. You can also view details of a course by clicking its Course Code.
From the Faculty Course Center feature, click the View My Faculty Schedule link. The detailed Course Schedule is displayed.
Click the linked Course Code to view details about the course.
Click the Back button to leave the Course Details page.
If you want to view your course schedule for other terms/divisions:
Select a Term from the drop-down.
Select a Division from the drop-down.
Click the Search button. The Course Schedule is displayed if it's available.
From the Faculty Course Center feature, select a faculty member from the Faculty drop-down.
Click the Search button. The schedule is displayed.
From the Faculty Course Center feature, locate the course in the Course List for which you want details.
In the Go Directly To drop-down list, select Course Details. The Course Details screen displays information about the course.
To view or print a list of the course's textbooks, click the Course Textbooks link (if available).
To view all available courses, click the All Courses in the Department, Undergraduate Division link. The resulting screen details information about all available courses and allows you to do another search if you wish.
From the Faculty Course Center feature, click the View My Faculty Schedule link. The detailed Course Schedule is displayed.
Click the linked Course Code to view details about the course.
Click the All courses in the Department, Undergraduate Division link to view all courses in the department for that Term/Division.
To view department courses in other terms/divisions:
Select a Term .
Select a Division.
Click the Search button. The Course Schedule is displayed (if available).
From the Faculty Course Center feature, enter the appropriate search criteria for Term and Division, and click the Search button.
Click the View My Faculty Schedule link.
Click the Printer Friendly link or the printer icon. A print preview copy is displayed.
Click the Send to Printer button.
After printing, click the Exit Print Mode link or the exit icon to return to the Faculty Schedule screen.
From the Faculty Course Center feature, locate a course in the Course List.
In the Go Directly To drop-down, select Class List. The Class List screen displays the names of students who are registered for the course. From here, you can do any of these:
Select another course from the Course drop-down.
Click the Email Selected Students link to open the email form. Specify Recipients, enter the Subject and Body (message), and/or attach a file. Click the Send button to send the email to the intended recipients.
Print the Class List by clicking the Printer Friendly link.
From the Faculty Course Center feature, locate the appropriate course in the Course List.
In the Go Directly To drop-down, choose Grade Entry. The Current Student Grade List screen displays the names of students who are registered for the course.
If the Update Student Grades screen is displayed, you can assign grades to students in the selected course.
From the Faculty Course Center feature, locate the appropriate course in the Course List.
In the Go Directly To drop-down, select Textbooks. The Textbook Entry screen displays textbook information and allows you to search existing textbooks to assign to the course, add new textbooks to assign to the course, edit textbooks already assigned to the course, or remove textbooks already assigned to the course.
To search existing textbooks to assign to the course:
Click the Search Existing Textbooks To Assign To Course link.
On the Textbook Search screen, enter any or all of these: Book Title, Author, ISBN, Publisher.
Click the Search button. The results screen displays a list of textbooks from the Textbook Definition table that matches the search criteria.
Click the Select checkbox beside the book titles you want to add to the course.
Click the Assign Selected Textbooks button.
To add new textbooks to assign to the course:
Click the Add New Textbook To Assign To Course link.
Enter the book information on the Add a Textbook screen.
Click the Save button, or the Save and Add Another, or the Cancel button.
To edit an existing textbook assigned to the course:
Click the Edit icon beside the textbook you want to edit.
On the Edit a Textbook screen, edit information as needed.
Save.
To remove a textbook associated to this course:
Click the Delete icon beside the textbook you want to remove. A message asks you to confirm.
Click OK or Cancel.
