Constituent Search

This feature allows users with a Constituent role to search for and view contact information related to other constituents and companies. You can search for a person by name, city, state, major, and class year. You can search for a company by name.

The feature is specifically designed to accommodate privacy controls, which determine whether you are included in the search results and also determine information that can be viewed by others.

Note

The My Info and Constituent Search features have been specifically designed to accommodate privacy controls, which determine whether constituents are included in the search results and also determine information that can be viewed by others.  In order for a constituent to be included in the search results and to determine information that can be viewed by other constituents, the constituent must sign into Campus Portal and set your personal privacy controls in the My Info feature.

The Constituent Search screen contains the following search fields:

  1. Log into the Campus Portal.

  2. Click the Personal Info link.

  3. On the Privacy Settings tab, select items to show in constituent search results.

  4. Click Submit.

  1. Open the Constituent Search feature.

  2. On the default screen, enter search criteria in the Last Name, First Name, and/or Middle Name columns for a person.

    Tip

    Click the Advanced Search link to navigate to the Find for Person tab on the Advanced Search screen to enter additional criteria.

  3. Click the Search button.

  4. A list of constituents that match the search criteria is displayed. Other information about the constituents may also be displayed, depending on the constituents' privacy settings in the My Info feature and data that may be available from the institution's database.

  5. Click the Reset button to clear the fields and enter criteria for another search.

  1. Open the Constituent Search feature.

  2. On the default search screen, enter search criteria in the Name column in the Find an Organization section.

    Tip

    Click the Advanced Search link to navigate to the Find an Organization tab on the Advanced Search screen to enter additional criteria.

  3. Click the Search button.

  4. The company profile and a list of employees (constituents) are displayed. A list of constituents that match the search criteria is displayed. Clicking on an employee name displays their profile information; however, the profile information displayed is individually controlled by each constituent via the privacy controls that are available in the My Info feature.

  5. Click the Reset button to clear the fields and enter criteria for another search.

  1. Open the Constituent Search feature.

  2. Search for the appropriate person/company.

  3. Click on a linked name to view a personal profile; however, information displayed in the personal profile is determined by privacy controls set by the Administrator or the individual constituent in the My Info feature.
