All matriculating students (those accepted into a program) attending at least one on-campus class are required to submit evidence for the following immunizations per Maine Community College System Immunization Policy (see submission process below)
Tetanus/Diphtheria (within last 10 years)
MMR- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Measles, and Rubella (2 doses), or one Measles (Rubeola) titer, one Mumps titer, and one Rubella titer.
Additional Immunization Requirements by Program of Study: In addition to Tetanus/Diphtheria and MMR immunizations, students in the following programs have these additional requirements:
Auto-Collision and Repair Program
Auto-Collision Medical Clearance Form- Includes respirator authorization approval per State of Maine Respiratory Protection Standards
Wind Power Technology Program
Wind Power Medical Clearance Form- Includes job related physical examination to ensure students ability to perform physical demands of program
EMS, Advanced EMT, Paramedicine, Nursing, Practical Nursing, and Med. Assisting Programs
Hepatitis B series (must be started before entry)
Varicella If titer negative (not immune), varivax injections required
Tuberculosis (PPD)
Influenza
Health Physical
EMS Medical Clearance Form (EMS, Advanced EMT, Paramedicine students only)
Students may be exempt from immunization requirements if they can provide a health care professional’s written statement that vaccination is medically inadvisable at this time. Please see System policy for details. Immunizations required for clinical/field placement sites may require additional documentation.
