Description

This course builds on the content taught in Medical Assisting Procedures with Lab I. This course will continue to prepare students to assist in different medical specialties. Students will continue to learn different clinical skills that will be used in the ambulatory care setting including: assisting with minor surgical procedures, performing EKGs, assisting with OB/GYN exams, phlebotomy, and assisting with pediatric care. This course also prepares students to complete different CLIA waived laboratory skills that may be performed as a medical assisting. Prerequisite(s): ALH220, BIO114, MDA100, MDA110 and MDA112 Corequisite(s): MDA125
