Description

This course buildings on the content and skills of Medical Assisting Procedures with Lab I and continues teaching students to assist in different medical specialties. Students will continue to learn clinical skills that will be used in the ambulatory care setting including: assisting with minor surgical procedures, performing EKGs, assisting with OB/GYN exams, and assisting with pediatric care. This gives students the laboratory skills that may be performed as a medical assisting including: Urinalysis, phlebotomy, and other CLIA waived testing. Prerequisite(s): ALH220, BIO114, MDA100, MDA110 and MDA111 Corequisite(s): MDA124
