Description

Focuses on understanding medical insurance and billing of the diverse medical insurances, including Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Medicare and Medicaid in the healthcare industry. Provides an overview of insurance claim procedures and legal aspects of billing. Students will learn how to do procedural and diagnostic medical coding. Provides a forum in which students strive for accuracy in completing medical insurance forms. Prerequisite(s): ALH220, BIO114, MDA100, MDA110 and MDA112 Corequisite(s): MDA213
