Description

This course will assist the student to develop skills necessary to perform effectively within the medical office. These skills will include interpersonal skills, computer & telephone techniques, patient processing, office operations, and health information management. Students will learn how to schedule patient appointments and procedures as well as how to use practice management software. Students will learn the finance part of the medical office and how to bill patients for services rendered. This course will give the student an overall look at the administrative duties required of a medical assistant. Prerequisite(s); None Corequisite(s): ALH220, BIO201 and MDA112
