Description

The student will develop an understanding of the differences between database accounting information systems and manual systems; learn theory and practice of relational database management systems; and learn to identify the business activities that comprise the four main transaction cycles. With the foundation, the student will build the elements of an accounting information system using database management systems software, as well as apply database theory and tools to build accounting system elements for eadch of the four main transaction cycles: sales, purchases, payroll and production. Prerequisite: ACC234
