Accounting Information Systems I (ACC 234)

Description

This course covers the conceptual framework to emphasize the professional and legal responsibility of accountants, auditors, and management, for the design, operation, and control of AIS (Accounting Information System) applications. It covers the functions of an accounting information system within an organization and examines topics in internal controls and system documentation. The course includes a commercial software package and a text that leads students through the various components of the AIS structure using the software integrated with accounting projects. Practical application will be by using a computerized homework system. Prerequisite(s): ACC114 Corequisite(s): None
