Description

This introductory course covers the fundamental principles of accounting as related to a service and/or merchandising sole proprietorship. Emphasis is on developing technical procedures of accounting cycle including journalizing, posting, adjusting entries, closing books and preparing financial statements. This course exposes the student to specific areas of deferrals and accruals, inventories, payrolls, receivables, payables, and accounting systems. Practical application will be by using a computerized homework system and a comprehensive problem. Prerequisite(s): None Corequisite(s): None
